Putter King launched the 1st Annual Putter King Miniature Golf Scavenger Hunt on August 26th, 2011 and invited anyone worldwide to compete on 17 different tasks - everything from designing a new miniature golf hole to completing miniature golf math assignments to sinking a miniature golf trick shot.
The winner of the #pkscavhunt takes home the championship trophy and a $100 iTunes Gift Card.

Over the first two months of the competition it was a heated 2-way battle between 'Squire' Richard Gottfried (U.K.) and 'Putting Penguin' Patrick Sheridan (USA).
Patrick jumped out to an early lead the day after the contest started
August 27th - @PuttingPenguin on the board with 30 points
and further increased his lead near the end of September
September 26th - @PuttingPenguin is the current #pkscavhunt leader with an impressive
320 points!!
However, the 'Squire' was not going down without a fight and started to rack up the points near the end of September and the beginning of October
September 28th - 'Squire' @putting_gott is climbing up the #pkscavhunt leaderboard.
Currently at 140 points!
October 6th - Current #pkscavhunt leaderboard: 1st place @PuttingPenguin 320 points;
2nd place @putting_gott 170 points - the race is tight! Happy hunting
October 8th - Only 100 points separate the leaders - #pkscavhunt leaderboard: 1st place
@PuttingPenguin 320 points; 2nd place @putting_gott 220 points
And on October 11th, Richard overtook Patrick for the lead:
October 11th - The Squire with an epic #pkscavhunt weekend! Current leaderboard: 1st
place @putting_gott 410 points; 2nd place @PuttingPenguin 320 points
Then, on October 12th, we sent out the following tweet:
Now it is a 2-way battle between @putting_gott / @PuttingPenguin. But there may be others
secretly accumulating points?? @9livesGottfried
We were wrong about the person, but our hunch that a 3rd competitor may be secretly launching an attack turned out to be correct. On October 18th things got interesting. Patrick reclaimed the lead
October 18th - #pkscavhunt leaderboard: 1st @PuttingPenguin 505 points; 2nd
@putting_gott 470 points.
and we received an email that would shape the final weeks of the competition. Allan Cox (Australia) had come across the scavenger hunt and decided to give it a run. We received an email from Allan on the 18th and it was officially a 3-person race. Allan decided to take a somewhat different strategy and elected to keep most of his completed tasks stealth until the entry deadline.
We at Putter King knew it would be a close battle, but we didn't expect it to be THIS close...
After calculating the totals for the first 16 tasks, 'Squire' Richard Gottfried and Allan Cox are in a dead heat. It has come down to the 17th task,
"Video of yourself successfully making a trick miniature golf shot. (40 points; up to 100 bonus points available depending on the difficulty and complexity of the trick shot)"
to decide the 1st Annual Putter King Miniature Golf Scavenger Hunt.
Putter King needs your help to decide the winner. We have given the top 2 competitors one last task to complete the hunt and be crowned the Scavenger Hunt King.
Task #18 - Get the most votes for your trick shot video.
Putter King will post a Facebook Question asking for fans worldwide to vote on their favorite trick shot (Allan's or Richard's) and the contestant with the most votes as of Sunday, November 13th at 11:59 P.M. JST will be deemed the winner of the 1st Annual Putter King Scavenger Hunt.
